Martin Williams

A Cornishman, educated at Truro School, Martin did his degree at Bangor, North Wales before running a village shop back in Cornwall. His ministerial formation was in Wesley House, Cambridge and his probationer's appointment at High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. A first superintendent at Wirksworth in Derbyshire included a year also as superintendent at Belper. Twenty years ago he moved to Barrow as superintendent of the South West Cumbria Circuit and then the United Area before having a spell without appointment and then sitting down locally. Married to Rita, they enjoy Scottish country dancing, birdwatching and tandem cycling.
