We have a rich heritage rooted in faithful witness. Before 1870, Methodists in the village met in a local schoolroom until a purpose-built stone chapel was erected between 1869–70. Gilsland Chapel remains a small but faithful congregation with a warm and open spirit. The Chapel continues to be a valued and prayerful presence within the local community, bearing witness to God's enduring faithfulness through the generations.
